Is it for you?
Botulimium toxin is most utilized in the upper face to soften muscle tone and reduce dynamic lines while lightening static lines. Frown lines, crows’ feet and horizontal forehead lines will generally be what people seek treatment for first.

Don’t worry if the lines are already there, this can be added to combination treatments to soften and eventually eliminate unwanted lines.

What can I expect my appointment?
As with all treatments at Rae, consultation is key. Your concerns will be discussed to ensure this is the right treatment for you. Your goals and expectations are at the forefront of our principles. Once you are happy to proceed the muscles will be assessed and areas for injection highlighted. The treatment itself is quick and painless. A very fine needle is used for your comfort and the neurotoxin is injected into a few points in each muscle. It takes 4-5 days to begin to see the effects and 10 days for it to peak. The results will soften gradually over the following months.
How often will I need it?
This is very personal and will be tailored to your needs. The toxin reaches its peak at 10 days. It begins to wear off slowly at 4 weeks and is completely broken down at 12 weeks. The effects can last longer. On average most individuals have toxin every 4 to 6 months.
